I may have to quit listening to anything political.  Don't listen to this if you can't take any more information about Joe's inability to win the election.

I'm serious.

The Democrats may have been ineffectual (and they have), but they were pretty well organized around their policy, and I think Joe Biden may be single-handedly destroying the Democratic Party.  Just when we were feeling pretty good about the Republican Party destroying itself.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

Ezra Klein says privately, Democrats in Congress are telling him (and each other) they don't think Joe can win.  They're just as bad as Republicans who are too cowardly to say things about Trump in public that they say privately.

If it’s really true, though, that a second Trump term would be the kind of “five-alarm fire” that Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson warned about in her dissent in the Supreme Court’s immunity case, and if Democrats really believe that a Biden loss is inevitable, then their failure to speak up now and intervene with Biden cannot be squared with their rhetoric of the Trump apocalypse of a second term.

If you genuinely believe that Democrats’ dire warnings about Trump and democracy are entirely reasonable, then their cowardice to have a hard conversation with Biden about the president’s path forward is itself a threat to the future of American democracy.
