Flying with United Airlines became even less attractive this week after a concerned passenger posted a video online showing fuel gushing from the wing of a jet ready to take off from Newark airport, as the flight crew dismissed the spill as “normal.”

“Sit down, it’s normal,” a flight attendant yelled at Rachel Brumfield after her husband Mike alerted the crew to the deluge pouring from Flight 170’s wing, which is shown in the video Brumfield uploaded.

Brumfield claimed United Airlines quickly changed their tune when they realized the seriousness of the situation and invited the couple into the cockpit for a glass of champagne, where they were asked to “go easy” on the airline on social media.

The PR department at United Airlines just can’t catch a break. It’s now emerged a rabbit predicted to become the biggest in the world has died aboard a transatlantic UA flight.

Simon, a 10-month-old continental giant rabbit, was being transported in the cargo section of the Boeing 767 from London Heathrow to O’Hare International Airport in Chicago when disaster struck. United Airlines say they are investigating the incident.
