Fox News response to one of their asshole commentators

A former Fox News military analyst will not be booked on Fox Business again after saying that torture “worked” on Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).

The network will not book Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney again, a spokesperson confirmed to The Hill.

[...]

"Sen. John McCain said he's not going to endorse Haspel also in part because she believes in torture, that she thinks it works, even though she laid out at least three instances where it did work to the benefit of humankind, not just Americans, but all human beings," McInerney said on the show.

"Well, she can't use it [torture] anymore because we have determined in Congress that it's not legal,” he added. “The fact is, is John McCain, it worked on John. That's why they call him 'Songbird John.’”

Charles Payne, the host of the show, apologized to McCain and his family, and said that he did not hear the remark.

“I regret I did not catch this remark, as it should have been challenged,” Payne said.

What? He wasn't listening? Here's the clip:

Last summer I complained that McInerney should be shunned because of his remarks about bombing North Korea with nukes.  It was okay then, I guess, because it was North Koreans.

Charles Payne has his own issues, but if misogynistic, ignorant, greedy, lying (which I have no doubt he's doing here - he heard the man) were a bar from working at Fox News, there wouldn't be enough people left to run a studio.  Shepard Smith would have to work from his home computer on YouTube, with an occasional assist by Chris Wallace.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

UPDATE:

Exactly what I was thinking.

What the HELL Is Wrong with Fox News?

Could it be the misogynistic culture that seems to go hand in hand with ultra right wing philosophy?
Fox News, which for more than a year has dealt with the fallout from an embarrassing sexual harassment scandal, was sued on Monday by the political commentator Scottie Nell Hughes, who claimed that she had been raped by the longtime anchor Charles Payne and was then retaliated against by the network after she came forward with her allegation.

[...]

According to the suit, Ms. Hughes was “shocked and ashamed” [after a purported rape] and did not immediately report the episode. She said that over the next two years she was forced to engage in a sexual relationship with Mr. Payne. In exchange, she said, she received career opportunities, including increased appearances on Fox News and Fox Business and the promise that Mr. Payne would help her land a contributor contract, a job that can pay several hundred thousand dollars a year. Ms. Hughes never became a paid contributor at either channel.

[...]

“In July of 2013, I was raped by Charles Payne,” Ms. Hughes said in an interview, referring to the allegations in her lawsuit. “In July of 2017, I was raped again by Fox News. Since then, I have been living an absolute hell.”

"Forced" into a sexual relationship? Go with "coerced", dear. And then file for breach of oral contract.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
