His daughters must have turned him

Why represent the murdering agent then?

Did he find out the agent's actions are indefensible?

Chris Madel was distraught as he left last Tuesday’s GOP gubernatorial debate at a suburban movie theater, where he had squabbled onstage with six other candidates ranging from the speaker of the house to the embattled founder of MyPillow about nearly every major political issue but immigration.

He said too many US citizens in Minnesota have been detained by ICE “due to the color of their skin.” He also assailed the Department of Homeland Security’s move to enter homes without a criminal warrant, as revealed in a whistleblower complaint.

“Driving while Hispanic is not a crime,” he said. “Neither is driving while Asian.”

The escalating tensions in Minnesota have roiled the state’s politics three weeks after Gov. Tim Walz ended his reelection bid in the wake of a deepening federal investigation into a scandal over social services programs in Minnesota.

Sen. Amy Klobuchar filed paperwork last week to form a campaign committee to run for governor. She delayed a formal announcement after Pretti’s killing, saying she was more focused on trying to get ICE agents out of Minnesota than launching a campaign.

I'm thinking Amy Klobuchar will be Minnesota's next governor.
No Republican candidate has won a statewide election in Minnesota since 2006 – a fact Madel noted in his video message.

“National Republicans have made it nearly impossible for a Republican to win a statewide election in Minnesota,” he said.
I think he saw the handwriting on the wall. Why waste time and millions of dollars if you're pretty sure you can't win?

I would not be surprised

But I would be pissed and disgusted.

I figured he'd at least go for Kamala Harris, which I wouldn't be crazy about either, but still.

I won't get incensed yet.  It may not be true.

It should be Stacy Abrams.

And there goes Amy

Amy Klobuchar is dropping out of the presidential race, a campaign official confirmed on Monday. The Minnesota senator, who campaigned as a moderate Democrat who would "get things done," surprised early with a third-place finish in New Hampshire, but her campaign had sputtered in the weeks since. She broke the news to her staff on Monday, a campaign spokesperson told NBC News. She will endorse former Vice President Joe Biden at a rally in Dallas later on Monday

  MSN
Word is Pete will also endorse Joe. Democrats are really afraid of progressive politics.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

Amy, Amy, Amy

Not knowing who Mexico's president is was a huge faux pas, and this, on its heels, is just ridiculous pandering.

Unbelievable

Shame on Klobuchar and Steyer.  More than shame.  It's a Mexican station, Telemundo, that they're giving an interview!

And that'll raise Pete's standing with Latinos in the US, something he badly needs.

Another Not-Really-a-Democrat

Her and Tulsi Gabbard.

I'll pass on Amy Klobuchar

She made a decent showing at the Kavanaugh hearing, but then we got word she's brutal with her staff.  She kinda sorta apologized, but now she's giving herself excuses.
Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) addressed allegations she mistreated staffers in an interview with CNN Thursday, saying she "can always do better" but adding that her toughness is a good thing.

"One can always do better, and that means you want to be sure that you are listening to people if they felt that something was unfair, or they felt bad about something. But I still think that you have to demand good product," she said, according to CNN.

  The Hill
There are ways to achieve that without browbeating your people.
The Minnesota Democrat also said her toughness can help her on the world stage. "When you're out there on the world stage and dealing with people like Vladimir Putin, yeah, you want someone who's tough," she added.
Talk about turning lemons into lemonade.
Former staffers have anonymously accused Klobuchar of workplace hostility, saying she frequently yelled at them and sometimes threw objects.

[...]

"You want someone that demands the answers and that's going to get things done, and that's what I've done my whole life."
So we've heard.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

Amy, what are you doing?

Any reason she did it outside in the snow?
“Today on an island in the middle of the mighty Mississippi … I stand before you as the granddaughter of an iron ore miner, as the daughter of a teacher and a newspaperman, as the first woman elected to the United States Senate from the state of Minnesota, to announce my candidacy for president of the United States," Klobuchar announced to a cheering crowd of onlookers.

  The Hill
She planned that place so she could say where she was. I wonder what the significance is, because it just looks like she doesn't have enough sense to get in out of the rain, literally.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

UPDATE:

You are such an idiot.

Ouch.

What about Klobuchar

I'm having a hard time finding a 2020 candidate I can get behind.   Not Beto.  Not Kamala Harris.   Not Corey Booker.  Not Elizabeth Warren.  Definitely not Tulsi Gabbard.

Fortunately, it's early, because I'm having to toss Kobuchar now.  I was waivering over the report of her harsh treatment of her staff, but now, with this vote, she's on my can't-we-find-someone-better list.

I know.  I know.  There's not going to be a perfect candidate.  And it won't matter who the Dem nominee is, I'll be forced to vote for that person if they're running against Trump.

Still pissed about the loss of democracy and a real vote.

Very unusual

And Grassley just plows on as they raise objections and motions to delay the hearing, over cheers in the hall.

Banana Republican.
