2026 elections will be highly rigged

The Huntington Beach [California] City Council passed a resolution last week using false data from the election conspiracy group Unite4Freedom to stoke baseless fears about the integrity of elections.

The measure aims to “ensure a legally valid and transparent 2026 General Election” by empowering election officials to withhold the ballots of voters whose U.S. citizenship is in question, enforce strict chain-of-custody protocols and “investigate and resolve, or if necessary, re-administer any election that cannot be proven accurate and compliant,” among other provisions.

It underscores how conspiracy-driven anti-voting groups have made inroads at the state and local level, where they are working to infiltrate election administration in order to take steps that tighten voting rules and legitimize their false claims.

Georgia seriously wants to thwart a Harris win

The GOP can smell defeat, and they have no commitment to democracy.

In Georgia, they put election deniers on the Election Board, who are pushing for more power to refuse to certify electoral counts.  They're running a MAGA type conservative on the ballot as a Democrat.

And, now...

Hand counts are less reliable than machine counts.  Also, more susceptible to manipulation.  Also, if they count a win for Harris, they'll just ask for a recount, thus delaying and confusing the election results.

“Malicious cyber actors” from Iran dangled sensitive material about former President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign in front of President Joe Biden’s campaign team, according to U.S. authorities.

Three federal agencies said Wednesday that the “stolen, non-public” information was emailed to journalists as well as individuals “associated with the Biden campaign.” The operation took place over June and July this year, before the president suspended his White House bid.

“There is currently no information indicating those recipients replied,” read a joint statement from the FBI, CISA, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

A spokesperson for the Harris campaign acknowledged to CNN that “a few individuals were targeted on their personal emails” with material that appeared to be “a spam or phishing attempt.” The campaign has cooperated with law enforcement as it investigated the matter.

“We condemn in the strongest terms any effort by foreign actors to interfere in U.S. elections including this unwelcome and unacceptable malicious activity,” the spokesperson added.

The Trump campaign said in a statement to CNN that Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris “must come clean on whether they used the hacked material,” claiming the operation marks “further proof the Iranians are actively interfering in the election” to help the Democratic Party.

“What did they know and when did they know it?” a spokeswoman asked the BBC.

In a late-night all-caps Truth Social post, Trump accused Harris and her campaign of “illegally spying” on him. “To be known as the Iran, Iran, Iran case!” he fumed. “Will Kamala resign in disgrace from politics? Will the Communist Left pick a new candidate to replace her?”

Donald Trump has said he would accept damaging information on his opponent during the 2020 election campaign, even if it came from a foreign government.

In an interview with broadcaster ABC News, the president denied this would count as meddling in an election.

Emails obtained by the Guardian reveal a behind-the-scenes network of county election officials throughout Georgia coordinating on policy and messaging to both call the results of November’s election into question before a single vote is cast, and push rules and procedures favored by the election denial movement.

The emails were obtained by the watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (Crew) as a result of a public records request sent to David Hancock, an election denier and member of the Gwinnett county board of elections.

Included in the communications are agendas for meetings and efforts to coordinate on policies and messaging as the swing state has once again become a focal point of the presidential campaign.

The fact that these people use email instead of discreet phone calls shows how little they care about getting caught.

The group – which includes elections officials from at least five counties – calls itself the Georgia Election Integrity Coalition.

The communications also show members of the group coordinating on messaging regarding their false claims of widespread voter fraud.
