They can't win if they don't cheat

Because they have such regressive attitudes.
House Republicans, led by Speaker Kevin McCarthy (Calif.), have promised to investigate some of the largest U.S. companies over their so-called woke politics, referring to support of the Black Lives Matter movement; environmental, social and corporate governance, or ESG, investing and abortion access, among other hot-button issues.

[...]

“Companies like Disney, Coke and Delta should be focusing on their customers, not engaging in political fights,” Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.), who has also threatened retribution against “woke” companies, tweeted last year.

Seventy-one percent of voters oppose Congress punishing companies that “speak out against discrimination,” including two-thirds of GOP respondents, according to [a Morning Consult poll commissioned by the tech industry-backed Chamber of Progress and released on Monday].

Republicans have long had their finger on the pulse of America. The trouble is, they've been standing in the morgue.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

Whiney Ass still whining about the election

Former President Trump on Tuesday called for Republicans to boycott companies who are opposed to voting laws like the one recently signed into law by Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R).

In a statement released by Trump's Save America PAC, the former president claimed that the voter law signed by Kemp did not tighten voting restrictions enough.

"Too bad the desperately needed election reforms in Georgia didn’t go further, as their originally approved Bill did, but the Governor and Lt. Governor would not go for it," Trump said.

"The watered-down version, that was just passed and signed by Governor Kemp, while better than before, doesn’t have Signature Matching and many other safety measures, which were sadly left out. This Bill should have been passed before the 2020 Presidential Election, not after," he continued.

One of the companies against Georgia's voter suppression laws is Coca Cola. You know damned well Trump is not boycotting Diet Coke.

WTF?

I listen to a portion of NPR pretty much every day several minutes at a time, and sometimes I simply cannot bear to listen to the reports and shut it off.  Just now was one of those times.

The reporter was talking with a foreign "correspondent" stationed in Argentina where Coca-Cola has rolled out its new green can.  What, she wanted to know, was it like there?

"Well," says the foreign correspondent, "it's very new, and I've only heard from a few people around me, but when you go into the stores, where you expect to see the normal red or black can, you see these green cans, and it's really, really bizarre."

Another question, and then, the foreign correspondent says, "Yes, there's not even any red or black on the can."  To which, the reporter replies, "Wow!"

Click.  I kid you not.  That's what they were saying.

For the love of Pete, NPR, WTF?  That's news?  That's journalism? That's a public interest story? That's what has the whole world talking?  Your reporters making out like this is a fantastic unheard of before event - that a green aluminum can is revolutionary - THAT's what's "really, really bizarre."

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
