If you've been wondering...

Everywhere you've looked in the past however many years since the "horror" of October 7 has made this claim.  I've always wondered, because I remember the false claims of babies being thrown out of incubators to make Americans support the invasion of Iraq.  Also, I watched "Wag the Dog".

Trump losing in court

And...

Secretary of State Marco Rubio personally approved the deportation of five student activists last year after receiving memos largely describing their participation in pro-Palestinian protests and their writings about the war in Gaza, according to internal government documents unsealed by a federal judge on Thursday.

The documents reveal new details about how the Trump administration decided to target the activists, who were all foreign students visible in campus protests. They had been in the United States legally but were arrested and threatened with deportation last spring.

[...]

Judge William G. Young, an appointee of President Ronald Reagan, ruled last year that the Trump administration had illegally targeted the students for deportation based on their speech — in particular their opposition to the Israeli government and its military operations in Gaza.

[...]

[The documents] also show that officials privately anticipated the possibility that the deportations might not hold up in court because much of the conduct highlighted could be seen as protected speech.

[...]

In one set of documents with the referrals, officials acknowledged that almost no grounds existed for deporting the students other than a rarely used 1952 law that says the secretary of state may deem noncitizens deportable for reasons related to foreign policy.

[...]

In justifying the attempt to deport the students, Mr. Rubio and other administration officials repeatedly asserted that they had supported terrorist organizations.

[...]

The students have denied that charge. They sued over their arrests, and judges last year ordered each of them released, citing concerns that their arrests had been based on protected speech.

The case before Judge Young, brought by two national academic organizations, argued more broadly that the arrests had chilled academic speech on the nation’s college campuses. Judge Young agreed, describing the behavior of Mr. Rubio and Kristi Noem, the homeland security secretary, as an “unconstitutional conspiracy” to “pick off” a few students with an eye to “violating” the free speech rights of thousands of noncitizen scholars.

Wasted breath

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called on Israel to reverse a pending ban on 37 nongovernmental organisations (NGOs) working in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

[...]

Israel banned the humanitarian groups for failing to meet new registration rules requiring aid groups working in the occupied territory to provide “detailed information on their staff members, funding and operations”. It has pledged to enforce the ban starting March 1.

[...]

The targeted groups include several country chapters of Doctors Without Borders (known by its French acronym, MSF), the Norwegian Refugee Council, and the International Rescue Committee.

[...]

In a statement on Friday, Guterres called the work of the groups “indispensable to life-saving humanitarian work”, according to spokesperson Stephane Dujarric. He added that the “suspension risks undermining the fragile progress made during the ceasefire”.

What progress? What ceasefire? Israel has been bombing Gaza all along. Getting ready for Trump family hotels and golf clubs.
To date, Israel has killed about 500 aid workers and volunteers in Gaza throughout its genocidal war. All told, at least 71,271 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since October 7, 2023.

The real reason we don't attempt to protect Gaza

Expect a Trump Gaza hotel and a Trump Gaza golf course.  On top of the graves of slaughtered Palestinian children.

UPDATE 12/30/2025:

These two bastards are "helping" Gazans.

And there it is

“The war is over,” declared President Donald Trump on his way to Israel. This announcement, however, rang hollow with Palestinians, mediators, and every expert I have spoken to. One immediate red flag was the total absence of protestation from Benjamin Netanyahu’s far-right allies, Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, who had repeatedly vowed to quit and collapse the government if Israel ends the genocide in Gaza.

[...]

It didn’t take long before Israel resumed killing and besieging Gazans. Within 24 hours of the ceasefire’s beginning, Israel killed at least 35 Palestinians in Gaza and wounded 72 others. On Tuesday morning, the day after Hamas released all living captives, Israel resumed aerial bombardment in Gaza with an airstrike that reportedly killed five civilians in Shejaiya and another that killed two in Khan Younis.

Israel then officially declared it would continue to close the Rafah crossing, Gazans’s only gateway to the world, although it was supposed to open both ways immediately after the hostages’ release. Israel also announced restricting humanitarian aid entering the enclave under the pretext that Hamas was “not taking sufficient steps to locate the bodies of [dead] hostages.”

Peace for Gaza but not for Lebanon

And by "peace" I mean a possible pause in attacks.*

*UPDATE 04:27 pm:

Wednesday, October 8, 2025

Oh good, now they can start building Trump Tower Gaza

He ended his 8th war!  All hail the Orange God King!  Give that man a Nobel Prize.

Any bets on how long Israel will honor the peace?

UPDATE 10/14/2025:  That didn't last long.  No surprise here.
