Recent non-Epstein insanity

The food they're burning was withheld and is no longer edible.

Good for Brazil.  Trump threatened to enact more tariffs on Brazil if they didn't lay off Bolsonaro.  I don't think Brazil gives a fuck.

Fascism in full swing.

Pedochet. Perfect.

Wow. But wait for details which will emerge later.
Fire Capt. Adam Van Gerpen said that a line of people — the majority female — were waiting to enter a nightclub when they were struck by a Nissan Versa that also hit a taco truck and valet stand.

[...]

“The valet podium was taken out, the taco truck was taken out, and then a large number of people were impacted by the vehicle.”

[...]

The driver was later found to have been shot, according to Los Angeles police, who were searching for a suspected gunman who fled the scene.

It was not immediately clear if the driver had been shot before or after the crash or why he drove into the crowd, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman said.

Twenty-three victims were transported to local hospitals and trauma centers, according to police.

At least three were in critical condition after being injured along Santa Monica Boulevard in East Hollywood, the Los Angeles City Fire Department said in a statement.

May you always be able to "opt out".

Attacked and, according to the video, beat the shit out of.

Take a closer look

Ohio is Davidson's state.  And I have another idea. Make that true for all the red states.  They all get more money from federal taxes than they pay in.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

Good God

What the hell is wrong with the GOP?
Ohio’s Republican candidate for U.S. Senate questioned why a certain group of women would be concerned about abortion during an event in the state.

[...]

“You know, the left has a lot of single issue voters,” [Bernie] Moreno said. “Sadly, by the way, there’s a lot of suburban women, a lot of suburban women that are like, ‘Listen, abortion is it. If I can’t have an abortion in this country whenever I want, I will vote for anybody else.’ … OK. It’s a little crazy by the way, but — especially for women that are like past 50 — I’m thinking to myself, ‘I don’t think that’s an issue for you.'”

  NBC4
And the audience was chuckling. WTF?
Moreno is set to go head-to-head with [Senator Sherrod] Brown on Nov. 5. Polling at the beginning of September painted a picture of a close election between the pair that could be determined by undecided voters.
I hope Ohio's women clean Berrnie's clock.

About the pets thing...

And, even though the question still remains why she would think her neighbors took her cat, I'm going to assume that nowhere in the police report was there anything about eating said cat.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

MAGA bullshit will keep endangering Americans

A bomb threat has prompted a major police response in Springfield, Ohio, on Thursday morning, according to the city commission office.

[...]

Though it is not yet known if they are connected, the threat comes after baseless rumors spread online in the wake of viral social media posts claiming Haitian migrants were abducting people's pets in Springfield order to eat them. The rumors were amplified by right-wing politicians, including former President Donald Trump and his running mate Sen. JD Vance.

  ABC
Perhaps not yet connected, but I think it's pretty clear they are connected. JFC.
Springfield estimates there are around 12,000 to 15,000 immigrants living in the county; migrants have been drawn to the region because of low cost of living and work opportunities, according to the city. The rapid rise in population has strained housing, health care and school resources, according to the city. But city officials also said the migrants are in the country legally and that many are recipients of Temporary Protected Status.

[...]

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, who dispelled the rumors this week, said the state would send more resources to Springfield.

This is not satire!

This is posted on the GOP House Judiciary Twitter account:

Surely they picked it up from a satirical or mocking site and didn't realize it.  Are they that stupid?  I guess the answer is in the question.*

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

PS

UPDATE 09:50 am:  Cruz won't be laughing when he loses his senate seat in November, which I fully expect to happen.

Not surprising coming from the guy who disparages single "cat ladies".  It'd be their cats getting eaten.  "Crybabies". The Trump team is just nasty.

UPDATE 07:04 pm: They're really laying this on. Cats and ducks. The symbols of every tough guy.

How long till he gets vandalized or threatened?

Speaking of JD Vance...

UPDATE 09/12/2024:

*No!  They've been creating these with Elon Musk's AI generator.  They think it makes him look heroic!

Jobs stats look crazy

Former President Bill Clinton on Wednesday used part of his speech at the Democratic National Convention to hit back at the notion that Republican presidents were better on the economy than Democratic presidents.

[...]

"You’re going to have a hard time believing this, but so help me, I triple-checked it,” Clinton said in the speech. “Since the end of the Cold War in 1989, America has created about 51 million new jobs. I swear I checked this three times. Even I couldn’t believe it. What’s the score? Democrats 50, Republicans one.”

Washington Post fact checker Philip Bump decided to fact check Clinton's claim and found that it was 100 percent correct.

"There have been six presidents since 1989, three from each party," wrote Bump. "Under the three Democrats — Clinton, Barack Obama and Joe Biden — there was a cumulative increase of 50 million more people working between the starts of their terms and the ends. Under the three Republicans — George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush and Donald Trump — the cumulative total was, in fact, only 1 million."

[...]

Bump decided to try to make an apples-to-apples comparison of job growth under former President Donald Trump and under President Joe Biden by excluding the period where the COVID-19 pandemic hit the economy and put millions of Americans out of work.

"In 2018 and 2019, under Trump, the country added 4.3 million jobs. In 2022 and 2023, under Biden, it added 7.5 million jobs," he concluded. "You don’t have to be a sports whiz to see that seven puts you ahead of four, either."

  Raw Story
Meanwhile...

Even in Ohio

Maybe Republican voters are starting to see the big picture.

And in Florida!
