Ivanka on the stand

It's possible because the Trumps are consummate liars.

Suckup.

As the day wore on, patience wore thin.

I'm surprised she recalls.

And Daddy will take to Truth Social to smear the judge and the State, and send out donation requests to the rubes.*

Conspiracies are real things.  It's absolutely likely that Kennedy's resignation "intersected" with Trump.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

UPDATE 04:59 pm:

Previously a co-defendant in the case, Ivanka Trump inspected other emails and business records suggesting that the Trump Organization knew that her father did not have the net worth that the bank demanded to move ahead with the deal.

[...]

Before the trial began, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron ordered the dissolution of Trump’s New York business empire, a ruling currently on hold pending appeal. Trump’s companies will go into receivership and be sold, if New York’s Appellate Division, First Department does not overturn it. The trial will determine whether Trump, his sons Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., and others also must pay hundreds of millions to disgorge ill-gotten gains — and be barred from ever serving as an officer or director of a New York corporation.

Ivanka Trump was excluded from the possible penalties because an appellate court found that her role in the transactions at issue occurred before the statute of limitations.

Right on cue...

UPDATE 11/10/2023:

Jesus Christ is right.  And I will not post the link.

Jan 6 1st hearing

“Tonight, and over the next few weeks, we’re going to remind you of the reality of what happened that day. But our work must do much more than just look backwards. … The conspiracy to thwart the will of the people is not over.” -- Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson

Chairman Thompson and vice chair Liz Cheney gave impactful statements in the first half of the 2-hour hearing.  They included video clips of various testimony of White House staff, including former AG Bill Barr and short clips of Ivanka's and Jared's testimonies, among others.

Assume we will hear more about this in a future hearing.

I'm watching on CSPAN, so there's no interruption from news commentators.

The Committee has recessed for ten minutes.

UPDATE:  Of course his precious Ivanka is given cover.
