Okay, I'll Give Him That

Vice President-elect Mike Pence spoke publicly Sunday for the first time about the mixed reception he received while attending a performance of the musical “Hamilton,” saying he doesn’t want an apology from the Broadway cast and that the audience’s boos and cheers “is what freedom sounds like.”

  Fox News
But he doesn't get off the hook for his other horrible stances.

Will Pence even make it to January or will Trump replace him by Christmas?  This isn't the first time he's contradicted Trump.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

The Petulant President

This is your president-elect on Twitter.

Twice yesterday he tweeted about the Hamilton cast.  (Very rude.)  And this morning, he woke up to tweet it again.

Not if he keeps wasting time whining about the Hamilton incident.

Apparently, he deleted this one for some reason:

He seems to spend a lot of time tweeting out his grudges.

Sure they did.

Sure they are.

November 16

If they haven't already, someone should create a fake Trump account that tweets Sad! and Apologize! tweets about the foreign leaders he'll have to deal with when he's in office.

And he's schizo.

Perhaps he should have deleted the first tweet.  But perhaps he doesn't know how.

He tweets like my 85-year-old mother signs birthday cards.  Lots of capitals and exclamation points.  If there were an underline function in Twitter, I'm sure he'd be using that, too.  You KNOW it's true if it's underlined three times.

Or a third grader making a book report.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

P.S.  He's linked this page in a tweet.  I don't know if it's run by his "team" or not, but I'm guessing yes.

Hamilton vs. Pence

When Mr. Pence entered the Richard Rodgers Theater in Manhattan [to see the Broadway hit "Hamilton"], he was greeted with a mix of clapping and booing, according to theatergoers .

[...]

As the play ended, the actor who played Aaron Burr, Brandon Victor Dixon, acknowledged that Mr. Pence was in the audience, thanked him for attending and added, “We hope you will hear us out.”

“We, sir — we — are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights,” he said. “We truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf all of us.”

Good luck with that.

Mike needs a safe space.
On Saturday, President-elect Donald Trump accused theatre-goers of having “harassed” Pence, writing on Twitter: “Our wonderful future V.P. Mike Pence was harassed last night at the theater by the cast of Hamilton, cameras blazing. This should not happen!”

He also demanded an apology: “The Theater must always be a safe and special place. The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!”

On Saturday morning, Dixon replied to Trump’s call for an apology: “conversation is not harassment, sir,” he wrote on Twitter. “And I appreciate [Mike Pence] for stopping to listen.”
