It isn't happening if they don't write it down

Unnecessary to carry out the work of the Department? Just what then IS the work of the Department?

Yes, and there's going to be a devastating four year gap in necessary data collection for research and development.

UPDATE 09/22/2025:

If you don't collect data, it doesn't exist

This is how they're going to excuse all their shit. And destroy years of research in the bargain. They won't collect data on anything that goes against them.

Remember how Trump wanted to keep a ship full of covid-infected people from debarking? How he didn't want to count covid cases because the numbers would look bad for him?

PLAYER: Act natural. You know why you're here at least.

GUILDENSTERN: We only know what we're told, and that's little enough. And for all we know it isn't even true.

PLAYER: For all anyone knows, nothing is. Everything has to be taken on trust; truth is only that which is taken to be true. It's the currency of living. There may be nothing behind it, but it doesn't make any difference so long as it is honoured. One acts on assumptions.
