There goes Flynn

A lawyer for former national security adviser Michael Flynn has told President Donald Trump’s legal team that they are no longer communicating with them about the special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian election interference.

[...]

In large criminal investigations, defense lawyers routinely share information with each other. But it can become unethical to continue such communication if one of the potential targets is looking to negotiate a deal with prosecutors.

[...]

The decision could be a sign that Flynn is moving to cooperate with Mueller’s investigation or to negotiate a deal for himself.

Flynn is in some deep shit, including the allegation that he conspired to kidnap and render a political opponent to Turkey's Erdoğan. He'll be cooperating.

I expect he knows a lot about Trump's Russia dealings, and specifically about Trump's attempts to get Comey to drop an FBI investigation into Flynn. And if he didn't have any helpful information, Mueller's team wouldn't be asking for his cooperation.

The heat is on.

FURTHER UPDATE:

A friend was asking me yesterday whether I thought Kushner or Trump would come out on top if it came to a showdown between them.  I think it's arguable, but I have to go with Kushner.  Why? Because he's smarter than Trump, and Trump doesn't have good lawyers (because the good ones refused to work for him).  Also, I think it's possible - not certain - Trump would help cover his kids' asses, but I don't believe he wouldn't sacrifice himself for Kushner, and Kushner must know this.

Also, I'm not sure Kushner hasn't already flipped.  I think that's highly probable.  It will be interesting one day to see the whole timeline of this investigation laid out.

UPDATE:  Ask and ye shall receive.  Bill Moyers and attorney Steven Harper have created the timeline.  Here's Moyer's interview of Harper.
