I also share this sentiment about a Comey quote...
Shouldn't he have just been doing his job without regard to who might or might not be president? My understanding was that he announced the investigation was restarted because of the threat that the NY FBI office was about to leak a falsehood aiming to destroy Clinton. I thought that was at least a decent reason. But, Comey taking it upon himself to be the judge about what the truth might do is a step too far for me. An officer of the FBI can make those decisions for his children or his friends, but not for his country. It's bad enough that the president is allowed to do it.
But, wait...McCabe's attorney can also tweet:
