So, what was accomplished at that Cohen hearing today?

Attorney Renato Mariotti lays it out in a Twitter thread, the summary of which is that Cohen asked the judge for both a temporary restraining order (TRO - "The purpose of them is just to freeze things so the judicial system has time to figure out what to do before harm is done that can’t be undone.") and a preliminary injunction to try to limit what the prosecution can get from the records collected in the raids on Cohen's office, home and hotel.  The judge refused the TRO on the grounds that the records are in the hands of a "taint team" whose job it is to make sure the prosecution isn't getting any privileged information from the raid.

As for the preliminary injunction, she is withholding a decision until both sides come up with some more information.

Mariotti concludes: "At most, what Cohen and Trump have accomplished is forcing the prosecution to reveal details about their investigation (including search warrants on Cohen’s email accounts)." That, in itself would probably be worth their time and trouble. But that's not all they accomplished. They dragged Sean Hannity into the fray. That was worth it for the rest of us.

He's not a reporter.  He just plays one on TV.
