Stop the presses! Say it isn't so

New York has a double jeopardy loophole. This loophole could mean Trump could pardon someone - say Manafort - as soon as a defendant has pled guilty or as soon as a jury has been seated in a federal trial against him, and the state of New York might be barred from prosecuting under their own courts.

New York's AG Eric Schneider has written a letter requesting that it be fixed.

Very quickly, please.  Kudos to the person who discovered this thorn, but I wonder if Trump had any attorney competent enough to know it, and if not, was this holding him back from pardons, and now that he knows it, he'll be passing them out.

I don't know what the likelihood of this getting fixed is, but it's a real kick in the teeth for those of us counting on the State of New York to bring Trump's cabal to justice.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
