Jesus, I thought that was done a long time ago. Well, early December. In today's wild times, that's a long time ago.In December, Democrats placed a hold on [McFarland's] nomination until she answers their questions about her knowledge of communications between fired national security adviser Michael Flynn and then-Russian Ambassador to the US Sergey Kislyak, a Democratic source told CNN at the time.
The Senate eventually sent her nomination back to the White House at the end of 2017, and the White House decided to re-nominate the former deputy national security adviser in January despite warnings from Democrats that they were unlikely to support her amid questions about previous congressional testimony.
"I am disappointed that K.T. McFarland has withdrawn from consideration to be Ambassador to Singapore," Trump said in a statement Friday. "K.T. served my administration with distinction. Unfortunately, some Democrats chose to play politics rather than move forward with a qualified nominee for a critically important post."

Remember KT?
From a YWA post December 2:
Is that just very poorly worded, or is she saying Russia has "just thrown [the] election to him?"In emails obtained by the New York Times, transition advisor K.T. McFarland sought to coordinate with other members of the Trump transition team in the wake of sanctions intended to punish the Kremlin for interfering in the U.S. presidential election. “If there is a tit-for-tat escalation Trump will have difficulty improving relations with Russia, which has just thrown U.S.A. election to him,” McFarland wrote to Thomas P. Bossert, who currently serves as Trump’s homeland security adviser.

McFarland was dumped from the Trump transition team, serving for a while as Flynn's deputy national security adviser, and offered the ambassadorship to Singapore as a bone. Or maybe as something else.
So, yes, KT is up to her eyeballs in the Mueller investigation, too. Is she just now figuring nobody is ever going to approve her for anything in government ever again?
...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
