Avenatti tells Lawrence O'Donnell: "There were extensive communications between Michael Cohen and Keith Davidson (Stormy Daniels' prior attorney) in October of 2016 relating to the timing of this payment and the need for the payment to be made prior to the election."
Somebody's (somebodies') butt is in a sling here. These communications are no doubt in the hands of the prosecutors in the criminal case being mounted against Cohen for criminal activity in connection with campaign finance violations, bank fraud, etc. Cohen is going down. It remains to be seen whether he will (or has) flipped on Trump, or if there is evidence in the Cohen documents and devices seized by investigators that Trump was a party to that conspiracy to silence Daniels before the election. If so, his ass is in the same - well, it would have to be bigger - sling.
...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
