Dropped like a hot potato

The National Enquirer, which has emerged as a de facto arm of the Trump political operation, has a front page story this week attacking Michael Cohen’s “secrets and lies.” Given the relationship between Trump and the Enquirer, that’s a pretty clear indication that Trump is turning on his most loyal and obsequious servant.

Now a source close to Trump who spoke to CNN’s Jim Acosta is validating that interpretation. More importantly, when CNN asked Cohen what message he thought the Enquirer story was sending, he replied with a Cohenesque “What do you think?”

I'm not sure it's wise for Trump to be dumping on Michael Cohen, of all people.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

"Trump passed polygraph proving no Russia collusion!"??  What bullshit.  Who would have administered a polygraph for that?  And how on earth would that prove such a thing? No matter.  Trumpettes will see it in line at Walmart.
Enquirer publisher David Pecker, who is a longtime friend of Trump's, would not have allowed the publication of the story -- which featured a headline including the phrase "Trump's Fixer's Secrets & Lies" -- without the President's blessing.

In a phone call, an official at [Enquirer parent company] AMI called the accusations that the story would have to had been approved by Trump "absurd" and "ridiculous."
