Can he say he didn't know anything about any of this? That his lawyer did something without consulting him? Cohen should be willing to fall on his sword for his boss, don't you think? Maybe that was the purpose of not signing the contract.

Had I been able to read the pleading, I wouldn't have needed to ask that question. According to The New York Times...
The suit, a copy of which was obtained by The New York Times, alleges that Mr. Trump “purposely did not sign the agreement so he could later, if need be, publicly disavow any knowledge of the Hush Agreement and Ms. Clifford.”
