The Dems gambled and lost

They should have laid low on the collusion/obstruction investigation until Mueller was finished.  Or at least just quietly kept the House investigations going but offering no public running commentary. We know Trump colluded with Russia. We know he obstructed justice. Mueller was on that trail. He didn't come out in the end where we believe he should have, but the Dems should have left that alone. Not that they shouldn't go after the Mueller report and the obstruction of justice charges - they should.  But they should have been attacking everything else that makes Trump unfit for office and impeachable instead of constantly talking about the things Mueller was investigating.  They let Trump frame the game by trying to rebut his constant claims of "no collusion."  Now they just look like they really are on a witch hunt.
