Does he think there was a cut off date beyond which any deaths could no longer be called a result of the hurricane, no matter whether conditions brought about by the hurricane contributed to them? Does he think if you're in a horrible automobile crash and spend several months hospitalized before you actually die that your death was not due to an automobile accident? A stabbing or shooting victim who lives for a while before dying? How quickly do you have to die to attribute a first cause to cancer? AIDS?
Is he really that stupid? Or does he just know his base is?
