NAFTA negotiations

Flavio Volpe, head of Canada's Automotive Parts Manufacturers Association (APMA), responded on Twitter after Trump reportedly said he wants to rebrand the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) as the USMC, adding that the "C" could be dropped if Canadian officials are unable to reach a deal with the U.S.

The U.S. Marine Corps., which shares the USMC abbreviation, would never "leave anyone behind" in that manner, Volpe joked.

  The Hill
Trump has to be a dick about everything. Why rename NAFTA, even if it is renegotiated? So he can put the US first in the initials? What arrogance.
The president signaled a harsher tone towards Canada on trade issues earlier this month, tweeting that America should not have to "buy" its friends with trade agreements that do not benefit American consumers.

“We shouldn’t have to buy our friends with bad Trade Deals and Free Military Protection!” Trump tweeted.
Believe me, he knows about having to buy friends.
