Yovanovitch testimony

Teh Republicans tried to get Elise Stefanik in on the first 45-minute allotment they had that was supposed to be available to the ranking member and their chosen counsel.

Schiff refused to let them.  I wonder again why Stefanik is being given such a big part in these hearings.  BTW, she'll get her five-minute allotment just like all the others, and I presume those members can yield their time to her.  Otherwise, it just seems like a ploy to make Schiff deny them the right to speak so they can whinge about it on TV.

And that's probably it.  But, listening to GOP counsel Castor questioning Yovanovitch, and knowing what a poor job he did on Wednesday, Nunes may also be hoping to have someone better - or at least more aggressive - at questioning allotted that 45-minute turn.  Stefanik is as much a harridan as Jordan is pugnacious.  (She'll be the new darling of the Trumpalos.)  Shades of the Kavanaugh hearing.  Stefanik is standing in for Lindsey Graham.

Poor Castor always appears constipated or confused.  Or both.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
