But I digress.
I'm going to have to forgive former ambassador Volker, because he decided to come clean about his closed-door testimony, and to admit that Trump's quid pro quo at least was improper.
But Tim Morrison? WTF? He says Trump's phone call to Zelensky was totally proper, nothing wrong with it, AND that after hearing it, he went directly to John Eisenberg - NSC counsel - to report it, because he thought it might look bad politically. How can both of those things be true? Plus, he says he didn't bypass his chain of command in doing so because he and Eisenberg on on the same level in their respective departments.
And also that he recommended the call readout be restricted so it wouldn't be leaked. But, mind you, nothing was wrong with the call.
Does this guy not look like the poster child for bureaucrats?
...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
UPDATE:
That was my impression as well. It seems highly improbable that he had the position he had and was so naive about the situation.
