So presidential

And that's being generous to him.

I keep waiting for people to start taking pride in being on his shit list - like they were with Nixon's enemy list.  People other than the Congresswomen he has been bashing all week.

Rise and whine.

The mayor of a North Carolina city where President Trump held his rally Wednesday denounced attendees' "send her back" chant.

[...]

"I am extremely disappointed and disheartened by the chant that took place at the President's rally last night," [Greenville, NC, Mayor P.J.] Connelly said in a statement. "Greenville is more than just a city. It is our home. It is a diverse place - a place of compassion and acceptance. An inclusive place where everyone, regardless of race, religion or political beliefs, is welcome."

[...]

"Hate will never have a place in our community," he said. "The behavior that was on display last night is not reflective of the Greenville I know and love."

  The Hill
While I don't doubt there are plenty of racists in Greenville, I suspect a large number of people at the rally were Trump rally groupies that came from distant places.  There have been reports in the past about the campaign paying people to attend.
On Thursday, the president tried to distance himself from the chant, saying "I was not happy with it. I disagree with it.”

The incident follows a series of tweets in which Trump suggested that Omar and other progressive congresswomen should "go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came."
He disagrees with it. With what "it"? After all, he said it first.
"I was not happy with it — I disagree with it," Trump told reporters at the White House of the chant, which appeared to be based off of his widely criticized recent tweets attacking the lawmaker and others, adding, "I didn't say that, they did."
He didn't say it at the rally, perhaps, but he'd already said it in a tweet. Also, he didn't try to stop the chant. He gave it time to play.
"Omar laughed that Americans speak of al Qaeda in a menacing tone," Trump said of the congresswoman on Wednesday night. "You don’t say America with this intensity. You say al Qaeda makes you proud. Al Qaeda makes you proud. You don’t speak that way about America," he added, referring to her remarks in a 2013 interview. Politifact, an independent fact-checking organization, rated his past characterization of Omar's remarks as "false."

At this point, the crowd began shouting, "Send her back!" Trump then took a pause from his speech as the chant went on. He later told the crowd, "I have a suggestion for the hate-filled extremists who are constantly trying to tear our country down. They never have anything good to say. That’s why I say: Hey, if they don’t like it, let them leave, let them leave. Let them leave!"
He didn't say that, huh?
The president on Thursday claimed he tried to quiet [the] crowd by "speaking very quickly" and that he would try to stop chants should they happen again.
He didn't and he won't.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
