Close the Camps protest in Columbia

If you're in Columbia's 50th district, the young woman speaking in the photo above, Kari Chesney, just announced she's challenging Republican Sara Walsh for her seat in 2020.  And, even if you're not, you can contribute to her campaign.  This is what she had to say today.  I think you should read it.

The protest was held in front of the office of Republican Vicky Hartzler, or some might call her Vicky Heartless.

Typical of these things that I've been to in Columbia, the people's (GOP) representative would not come out to talk to them.  Her flunky* did come out and say he wasn't going to talk to people shouting at him.  Nobody was shouting at him.  The man in the orange shirt finally got him to agree to allow "5 or 6" people to go inside.  Ostensibly to talk to Vicky.   Which I'm sure did nothing to persuade her.  But they've made their voices heard.

You might think the person holding this sign knew I was coming.

*Have just learned that her flunky is in fact her press director and husband.
