What. the. everloving. fuck.

The White House is holding a meeting this morning to discuss a response to Iran shooting down a U.S. military drone, a person familiar with the plans tells CNN.

President Trump is not expected to attend the meeting right now.

A US official said outgoing Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan and incoming Acting Defense Secretary Mark Esper are both expected to be there.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will also be attending the meeting on Iran, according to an administration official.

But not the President of the United States. Impeach this asshole and his entire administration.

You know what?  Just sit down and shut up.  You aren't even attending the meeting.  Nobody wants to hear from you.
The Iranians want to send a clear message to the US: they are capable of hitting even advanced American equipment, and they won’t hesitate if they feel threatened.

Tehran considers the administration’s policy of maximum pressure, involving tough sanctions, to be economic warfare, and they want to show they are for ready an escalation.

The US military drone shot down by Iran was an RQ-4A Global Hawk.

[...]

Carrying multiple sensor payloads, the aircraft “is designed to gather near-real-time, high-resolution imagery of large areas of land in all types of weather – day or night.”

[...]

Both the US and Iran say Iranian forces shot down a US drone. However, the two countries have given different reports on where it went down.

Iran's Revolutionary Guard said it had shot down an "intruding American spy drone" after it entered into the country's territory Thursday.

[...]

A US official confirmed a drone had been shot down, but said the incident occurred in international airspace over the Strait of Hormuz.

Relations between the two adversaries have taken a dangerous turn this week, beginning with the Trump administration's decision Monday to deploy 1,000 additional troops and more military resources to the Middle East. US officials have also blamed Iran for conducting attacks against oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman.
Does anyone care that Trump pulled the US out of the Iran nuclear deal upon taking office and put two hawks in his administration who have been chomping at the bit to attack Iran for decades?

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
