The GOP is abhorrent. They've decided they're entitled to their positions without answering to the people who are ostensibly their constituents. This is just another example. Their true constituents, of course, are the corporations and mega donors who own them. And Trump has made it acceptable to simply show their true colors.
Hopefully, they'll lose a lot of ground in November, and then more in 2020. That is if they haven't taken away what's left of the tatters of our democracy. I honestly believe they will rig the 2020 election. (As if gerryrigging hasn't already rigged the system.)
I think the only hope for this country is in the next generation. And I hope they have enough to work with to make some repairs.
