
That's only making her vote seem less in opposition to Kavanaugh, because she doesn't need to do that for Kavanaugh to be seated. If she voted no, then the final vote would be 50-49. Also, even if it were 50-50, Pence would break the tie in favor of Kavanaugh. In fact, Manchin could clean up his act and vote no, and it would still not be enough as long as Pence gets to be the tiebreaker. The only way Kavanaugh wouldn't be seated is if Manchin changed his vote and Murkowski voted no instead of present.
Kavanaugh is going to be seated. And all hell is going to break loose. And the Trump cabal will continue paving the way to an autocracy.
