Hysterical defense chart


That's really very funny.  I can see that as a Saturday Night Live skit.  If Daniel Dale hadn't presented it, I would have thought it was an Onion article.  He does say the chart was "kind of like" this.  I'd like to see the actual chart they used.

Actually, there are only two categories:  Not guilty; guilty with some doubt (in which case, not guilty); and guilty.

You can add as many subcategories as you like to make it look like you have to choose not guilty.  The one I like is "perhaps".  How is that different from "may not be" and "possibly not" or "possibly guitly"?  "Unlikely" and "probably not"?  "Guilt likely" and "probably guilty"?  I don't see "You must be joking" or "any fool could see."  

No wonder the jury asked the judge for a definition of "reasonable doubt".  

Perhaps.  LOL.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
