Sold

Oh, please, Phil. It's been for sale and sold already a long time ago.

President Trump is seeking to parlay his first State of the Union address on Tuesday into cash for his reelection campaign by offering supporters a chance to see their name flashed on the screen during a broadcast of the speech.

They're just counting on Trump voters to be as vain and shallow as Trump. Quite possibly they are. Don't expect to see any of the megabucks donors on the list. They don't want their names plastered on TV. How else are they going to get people to watch? Or donate?

Also, it was a one-day deal. The message went out yesterday online with a link to a donation site:

The State of the Union speech is not about me. It’s about YOU. Which is why I will have the names of every supporter who contributes today broadcast during my speech on the Official DJT for President Livestream! Enough of the Fake News Media. It’s time for them to hear from the AMERICAN PEOPLE. Show how many Americans are dedicated to our movement! Contribute NOW and add your name to my Official List

The Trump presidency is simply the Trump brand organization continued.

GUILDENSTERN: But we don't know what's going on, or what to do with ourselves. We don't know how to act.

PLAYER: Act natural. You know why you're here at least.

GUILDENSTERN: We only know what we're told, and that's little enough. And for all we know it isn't even true.

PLAYER: For all anyone knows, nothing is. Everything has to be taken on trust; truth is only that which is taken to be true. It's the currency of living. There may be nothing behind it, but it doesn't make any difference so long as it is honoured. One acts on assumptions.
