What a colossal ass.
“When will people learn that fear won’t make someone sit down,” wrote Chris Conley, a third-year wide receiver with the Kansas City Chiefs. “It quite possibly will make more stand up for what they believe in.”
Husain Abdullah, who played seven seasons with the Vikings and Chiefs, said: “Now we know why [Kaepernick] ain’t playin.”
While Kaepernick has remained unsigned since he opted out of his contract with the 49ers in March, a number of NFL players have declined to stand for the anthem this season including Marshawn Lynch, Marcus Peters and Michael Bennett.
More than a dozen Cleveland Browns players staged the largest national anthem protest yet, and were joined by white players for what was believed to be the first time, before a preseason game against the New York Giants last month.

And a couple of minor points:
1) The NFL ratings are down because people would rather watch "yours truly". LOL. Apparently because the NFL is no longer violent enough. "They're ruining the game," because players are not allowed to hit hard enough to cause concussions.
2) The NFL owners that are "friends" of Dolt 45: He said they'd be "the most popular person" and had to add the limiting "for a week" when he realized what he'd said.
No shit.
Oh, and: What an idiot. People who go to NFL games are not going to "get up and leave" because players are kneeling for the anthem. They've paid a pretty penny for their ticket. They might boo and hurl epithets. They might even start fights, but they're not leaving.
Dotard J Trump should have half the courage or patriotism of Colin Kaepernick and fellow players who quietly protest injustice in this country at the risk of their livelihoods.
And, demonstrating his total lack of sensibility, Trump also doubled down on his Kim Jong Un taunts.
By calling the world's other vain, petty, vindictive ruler names? Great idea. The best.He renewed his criticism of Kim Jong-un, whom he called both “Rocket Man” and “Little Rocket Man” and warning of the risk posed by North Korea’s nuclear program and its recent threats to test a hydrogen bomb. “Now he’s talking about a massive weapon exploding over the Pacific Ocean, which causes calamity. Where the plume goes, so goes cancer, so goes tremendous problems.” However, Trump confidently said “I’m going to handle it”.

And, he added some campaigning about his other failures, of course:
I wouldn't call that "courting".He described his attempts to court senators on health care, saying “I’m on the phone screaming at people all day long for weeks”.
Jesus Christ. He talked at length about the wall he hopes to build on the Mexican border, insisting it needed to be see-through. Trump said this was because drug dealers are currently using catapults to send 100 pound bags of drugs over the existing concrete wall and they are landing on people’s heads in the United States.
And...this was a speech to promote Luther Strange's run for the Senate?? Too bad he couldn't actually find it within himself to do that, because the guy slated to win is a real nut job.
Makes you wonder why Trump isn't campaigning for Moore. Oh, wait. I think I know the answer to that one: Mitch McConnel is backing Moore. McConnell is on Trump's feud list for not loving the Donald enough.Strange is currently trailing in the polls against Roy Moore, an ardent social conservative who has twice been removed as chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court.
The race has become a top priority for Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell and a superPAC affiliated with him will spend over $9m on Strange’s behalf. The Alabama senator is seen as reliable vote for Republican priorities while Moore has mused about making “homosexual conduct” illegal and suggested that the terrorist attacks of 11 September may have been divine retribution for the United States turning away from God.

There you go.Strange went as far as to assert in his brief introductory remarks on Friday night that Trump was backing him so that he could have the votes in the Senate to “stand up to Mitch McConnell.”
[...]
However, [Trump] did note that Moore, who has been backed by a number of prominent conservatives including former Trump aide Steve Bannon, was “a good man” and that he would campaign for him if the former chief justice won on Tuesday.
No, I'm pretty sure he won't follow Trump. Who COULD?Vice president Mike Pence, who will hold a rally for Strange in Birmingham, will follow Trump in Alabama on Monday.
