So-Called Judge

Misrepresented? That tweet was issued 37 minutes ago, as you can see in its heading. This article was printed yesterday. Has the inflatable rooster not seen it? Or is he just spewing more alternative facts for his followers?

Neil Gorsuch, Donald Trump’s nominee to the supreme court, called the president’s tweet attacking the federal district court judge James Robart “disheartening and demoralizing”, his spokesman has confirmed.

Gorsuch criticized Trump in a private meeting with Senator Richard Blumenthal on Wednesday.

Currently the filibuster still applies to supreme court nominees, which means barring a change of the rules via the so-called “nuclear option”, Gorsuch would need the support of eight Democrats to achieve the necessary supermajority and receive a confirmation vote by the Senate.

I have no doubt that will not be a problem. But I also won't be surprised if Trump withdraws the nomination.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

PLAYER: For all anyone knows, nothing is. Everything has to be taken on trust; truth is only that which is taken to be true. It's the currency of living. There may be nothing behind it, but it doesn't make any difference so long as it is honoured. One acts on assumptions.
