I COULD Apologize to Fox News

Or, I COULD say that MSNBC's Chris Matthews should go to work there. You choose.

I don't always get things right, but I'm not charged with presenting information to a national audience. Don't they at least have people who can check these things for them before they get in front of the world?

Then again, I didn't listen to the clip. Maybe he said it in a rhetorical manner. This is how the Twitterer characterized it:

GUILDENSTERN: We only know what we're told, and that's little enough. And for all we know it isn't even true.

PLAYER: For all anyone knows, nothing is. Everything has to be taken on trust; truth is only that which is taken to be true. It's the currency of living. There may be nothing behind it, but it doesn't make any difference so long as it is honoured. One acts on assumptions.
