Welcome to 2026. It begins with another new war from a president who once proudly proclaimed he had started “no new wars.” Will this year be any less bloody, destructive, or war-torn than 2025? Because – and you may not know this due to our mainstream media being so broken – our “peace president” bombed seven countries last year.

Somalia, Yemen, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Nigeria, and Venezuela, where the CIA conducted a Christmas Eve drone strike on a port facility just days before Trump’s big attack on Nicolás Maduro’s government this past weekend. Prior to Saturday’s illegal attack on Venezuela, much of Trump’s warmongering got little attention here in the US or, frankly, around the world.

Trump and his cronies have already reserved the right to take further (illegal) military action inside of Venezuela, if Maduro’s Vice President Delcy Rodríguez doesn’t play ball with them – or with American oil companies.
