George W Bush had his goons who shot "less lethal" munitions that actually killed a man, and seriously injured many more Iraq war protestors. And who can forget Nixon's Kent State massacre where the munitions WERE lethal? This isn't the first time our country has opened fire on its own citizens. Let us hope this isn't the one that leads to a new civil war.
