An ICE raid led to violence in LA, which was bound to happen. Read this thread for video clips of the escalation.
Yes, this is a problem. But if, by "those people" we are talking about the protestors, the community and common humanity exists in understanding what has been happening to them and their families, with the resistance to fascism and police brutality, and what is coming down the pike if there is no resistance. Were we supposed to not feel any community or common humanity with black Americans in their historical (but relatively infrequent) angry outbursts to police brutality in their communities?
Actually, I feel certain Popehat's "those people" are the 35% of the country he claims would cheer a war on protestors, and in that case, no. No need to connect or feel community with them. There is no humanity in their cheering for that, and that's precisely what they'd do. Many of them would also be out in the streets with their military grade guns. We've seeen it before. I'm afraid we're about to see it again. In spades. Led in many instances by the criminals who took guns to the Capitol on Januay 6, 2021, and who have been pardoned, I expect for just such a time. And Stephen Miller is calling it.

UPDATE 04:55pm:
The Paramount action is at a Home Depot. A couple of weeks ago, Stephen Miller yelled at ICE leadership for not raiding Home Depots. That's because immigrants often collect at Home Depot parking lots to get day work. Contractors pick up however many they need and take the to job sites for the day. I assume they're paid under the table.
There's no doubt he wants to use the Insurrection Act. But I would have thought he'd do it closer to the 2026 elections so he could call a national emergency to stop them happening.
I've pretty much assumed that will be his move in 2028.
