Covid at Mar-A-Lago (again)

Donald Trump’s Palm Beach club, Mar-a-Lago, has been partially closed because of a Covid outbreak.

A source familiar with club operations said some workers had been quarantined “out of an abundance of caution”, and “a section of the club” had been closed for a short period of time, according to Reuters.

A senior Brazilian official tested positive last year after spending time at the club, where he posed for a photo next to Trump and attended a family birthday party.

The Trump White House was hit with several subsequent outbreaks after it flouted virus precautions by resisting mask-wearing and continuing to hold large events.

Trump was hospitalized with Covid last fall and has since been vaccinated against the virus. His wife, Melania, and son Barron also tested positive.

GUILDENSTERN: We only know what we're told, and that's little enough. And for all we know it isn't even true.

PLAYER: For all anyone knows, nothing is. Everything has to be taken on trust; truth is only that which is taken to be true. It's the currency of living. There may be nothing behind it, but it doesn't make any difference so long as it is honoured. One acts on assumptions.
