Another day in America, another mass killing

KTSM can confirm through a law enforcement source that this photo is of the shooter as [he] entered the Walmart show at Cielo Vista this morning around 10 a.m.

Police say one person in custody and a second person is detained. Police do not believe any suspect is outstanding.

El Paso Police confirm multiple fatalities, but cannot say immediately how many. A police source tells KTSM that 18 people were killed.

A man who had been at a store in the mall nearby told KTSM that he had heard gunshots and taken out his own gun as he ran towards the parking lot. He said police had briefly questioned him, thinking he was the shooter.

Reports of the shooting in El Paso comes less than a week after a shooting at a garlic festival in Gilroy, California, left three people dead and fifteen injured.

Only in America.

We send our thoughts and prayers, chalk it up, put more military weaponry into the hands of police, and then shrug it off.
