Firing Mueller?

Trump said yesterday he wouldn't fire Mueller. We'll have to see what he says tomorrow. In the meantime, it appears he wouldn't necessarily have to fire Rosenstein to effect firing Mueller.

The only argument I have here is that Trump fired Comey before he understood how the presidency works. He learned by firing Comey. Before that, he thought he could do whatever he wanted with impunity. Hire and fire at will. Also, he didn't have personal attorneys trying to save his ass back then, and he does now. And he knows now that he's not actually emperor. Doesn't mean he WON'T do something rash, but I think it does make it less likely.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
