Glenn Greenwald has a long post discussing Eric Holder's defense of extrajudicial killing by the government. As always, read it and be edified.
What disturbs me in all of this - including all the many ways we are leaving democracy behind and turning into a barely recognizable empire - is that once a country goes down this road, the reversal must be nearly impossible. Once rights have been given up, getting them back takes something like the American Revolution.
Think about that.
