The King's demands

Trump jokingly declared himself a sovereign last month, while his advisers distributed AI-generated photos of him wearing a crown and an ermine robe to celebrate his order to end congestion pricing in New York City. “He who saves his Country does not violate any Law,” he’d decreed a few days earlier, using a phrase sometimes attributed to Napoleon Bonaparte, the emperor of the French.

This time around, he'll be shuffling documents to Mar-A-Lago long before the end of his term. If there is an end.

He's busy dismantling the National Archives even as we speak. He's mad about them taking back the records he stole from them. But that's not all. He had the FBI give them back to him! I bet a lot of thieves would like to have the authorities return their confiscated booty.

And, by the way...

Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency has canceled the lease for the Barack Obama Presidential Library near Chicago amid DOGE's termination of thousands of federal contracts and hundreds of leases.

PLAYER: For all anyone knows, nothing is. Everything has to be taken on trust; truth is only that which is taken to be true. It's the currency of living. There may be nothing behind it, but it doesn't make any difference so long as it is honoured. One acts on assumptions.
