It's cynical. It's a way for him to hew to the Federalist anti-abortion line in public but have women think he won't really enact their agenda if his own wife is a staunch supporter of women's rights. Which she is not. She's Trump's mate. All her interests are self interests. Why else is this the first time she's come out with this?
