Florida FOP president suspended

Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey said Tuesday that Bert Gamin, president of a Florida chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police, has been suspended [with pay] pending an internal investigation into the posts.

One of the posts read, “Hey Buffalo 57...and Atlanta 6...we are hiring in Florida. Lower taxes, no spineless leadership, or dumb mayors rambling on at press conferences... Plus... we got your back!"

And there should be a block on hiring any police officers involved in acts of brutality.

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.

GUILDENSTERN: We only know what we're told, and that's little enough. And for all we know it isn't even true.

PLAYER: For all anyone knows, nothing is. Everything has to be taken on trust; truth is only that which is taken to be true. It's the currency of living. There may be nothing behind it, but it doesn't make any difference so long as it is honoured. One acts on assumptions.
