But I didn't think the Special Counsel's office comments on anything about their case.
Here's the article, amended to note the Special Counsel's statement.A spokesperson for special counsel Robert Mueller's office, Peter Carr, disputed BuzzFeed News’ report.
“BuzzFeed’s description of specific statements to the Special Counsel’s Office, and characterization of documents and testimony obtained by this office, regarding Michael Cohen’s Congressional testimony are not accurate,” Carr said.
Buzzfeed
When I read the article that claims two law enforcement sources, I wondered who they might be, because, as I said, I haven't heard of any of Mueller's team leaking anything ever, and I don't know what other law enforcement people might have knowlege of documents in the case.
Why did they feel the need to comment on this particular report? On the other hand, the disclaimer is quite vague. What is the inaccuracy?
This is going to give Giuliani and the Trump team a nice weapon, and cast doubt on all reporting.
...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
UPDATE:
I'm guessing the Buzzfeed reporters will be going back to their sources to get some answers. Hopefully, they'll fill us in.
UPDATE 3/1: Buzzfeed's story's looking quite accurate now.
