There's a BAN on federal gun violence research.

This article claims there are an estimated 90 people per day dying in gun-related incidents in the US, and 353 mass shootings so far this year.

By the way, the law banning research is called the "Dickey Amendment".

The doctors added that the federal government has allocated $240 million a year for traffic safety research during the past two decades, while no money has been spent on analysis of gun violence [which kills around the same number of people each year].
