The Uranium One tempest

Several of the Republicans at Jeff Sessions' testimony today brought up this issue of wanting a special prosecutor to look in on Hillary Clinton's involvement in a uranium deal involving Russians, something Trump has pressed for. Sessions said they were looking into it, but seemed to indicate there was nothing (at least yet) to warrant an official investigation.

Fox News' own Shepard Smith explains (and takes down) the faux scandal:

America has lost its collective mind.

GUILDENSTERN: We only know what we're told, and that's little enough. And for all we know it isn't even true.

PLAYER: For all anyone knows, nothing is. Everything has to be taken on trust; truth is only that which is taken to be true. It's the currency of living. There may be nothing behind it, but it doesn't make any difference so long as it is honoured. One acts on assumptions.
