The case for a "pro-life" leak of the SCOTUS abortion draft
Strict Scrutiny is the podcast Joseph Fishkin bets will "get it right". I always listen to the podcast, and I don't understand half of what they're talking about, because they're geared toward lawyers and law students who understand all the lingo and precedents. But for the things I do understand, these ladies discussing Supreme Court cases are sharp and insightful. I'll update this post after I've heard this emergency episode.
UPDATE:
The Strict Scrutiny ladies are on fire about this draft. And their prediction is that it was leaked by someone in the conservative majority on the court. A "shot across the bow" to the justices that they better get on and stay on board with this decision. A "clear threat" to a "wobbly" justice. (With "wild speculation" that it could be Ginny Thomas in order to get the spotlight off her.)

Apparently there is a marshal of the Supreme Court, and that's who is charged with investigating.
“This was a singular and egregious breach of that trust that is an affront to the Court and the community of public servants who work here,” Roberts said in a press release that verified the authenticity of the document published Monday evening by Politico.

So, apparently they assumed they were breaking laws. I suppose they could argue that they thought anyone who stole the election would prosecute innocent people.

Someone tell Mr. Brooks that he can be subpoenaed if he prefers and be charged with contempt of Congress when he refuses to appear.
Oh yeah, there's not much to worry about there.

A tweet from Scotusblog, a respected news and analysis site, said it was “impossible to overstate the earthquake this will cause inside the court, in terms of the destruction of trust among the justices and staff. This leak is the gravest, most unforgivable sin.”

Agreed.* Except for the part about it being the most unforgivable sin. That would be manipulating the appointment of judges. I'm looking at you, Mitch McConnell.
But are we dismissing the possibility that one of the justices is the leaker?** Highly unlikely, but still possible.
