Which just means they didn't trust him not to try to get rid of something on his phone. And I wonder why that might be. Maybe because after a meeting with COS Mark Meadows, Meadows incinerated" some documents. He is also one of the group that requested a pardon from Trump (and didn't get it) over the insurrection business.Republican Rep. Scott Perry of Pennsylvania says that the FBI has confiscated his cell phone.
Perry, in an exclusive statement, told Fox News on Tuesday that while traveling with his family earlier in the day, he was approached by three FBI agents who handed him a warrant and requested that he turn over his cell phone.

"This morning, while traveling with my family, 3 FBI agents visited me and seized my cell phone. They made no attempt to contact my lawyer, who would have made arrangements for them to have my phone if that was their wish. I’m outraged — though not surprised — that the FBI under the direction of Merrick Garland’s DOJ, would seize the phone of a sitting Member of Congress," Perry said in his statement.

Perry asserted in his statement that "as with President Trump last night, DOJ chose this unnecessary and aggressive action instead of simply contacting my attorneys.

Don't know what the Feebs are zeroing in on, but Scott Perry was also in the bunch working on the January 6 insurrection. And since he refused to cooperate with the January 6 Committee, the FBI had plenty of reason to assume he's not the cooperative type.
This phone confiscation one day after the Mar-A-Lago search makes me even more confident that they were looking for something that ties Trump to the plot to prevent Congress from verifying the election results.
...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
UPDATE:
UPDATE 8/11: It might be less exciting than I was hoping. It now appears that Trump refused to produce documents that were previously subpoenaed. So much for all those people squawking about an FBI "raid" instead of a subpoena.
