More gems: presidential "debate" #1

I'm sure we could all give them some suggestions.

Of course you did, baby.  But who's "we"?  Is this Trump's use of the royal "we" again?

He also said, without a shred of truth, that Joe Biden doesn't want to debate him again.  He "heard that."

And, he said the debate had great ratings.

And whhat are you prepared to do about it? Nothing? That's what I thought.

A whole hell of a lot about the orange monster is unacceptable. And about McConnell, too. But it goes on. And on.

Wishes are useless. ANY sensitivity by Trump would cause the world to implode from the shock.
Comey's sworn claim to the Senate Judiciary Committee is significant because Trump and Flynn have in recent months asserted that Biden raised Logan Act prosecution of Flynn during a Jan. 5 2017 Oval Office meeting that included President Barack Obama, Comey and other senior national security officials.

A set of FBI notes produced in June by the Justice Department to Flynn's defense team indicated that Biden referenced the Logan Act during that meeting but provides no context about how the topic arose or what Biden said.

[...]

The Logan Act, a largely obsolete 18th century statute, prohibits private citizens from attempting to carry out official U.S. foreign policy. Trump and his allies have alleged that the FBI raised the Logan Act as a pretext to interview Flynn and ultimately prosecute him for making false statements about his calls with the Russian ambassador.

[...]

A day before the 2017 Oval Office meeting, the FBI had begun exploring whether to bring a Logan Act case against Flynn for his December 2016 conversations with Russia's U.S. ambassador. In those conversations, Flynn urged the Kremlin not to engage in an escalating tit-for-tat with the outgoing Obama administration, which had just issued sanctions against Russia for interfering in the 2016 election.

[...]

Under questioning from Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.), Comey said neither Obama nor Biden ever suggested prosecuting Flynn under the Logan Act.

"I would remember it because it would be highly inappropriate," Comey said. "It did not happen."

Joe needs to hit that sore spot hard in the next two debates.

Trump's chorus of sycophants attacked moderator Chris Wallace.
“Chris had a tough night. Two on one was not surprising, but fun,” Trump tweeted Wednesday morning.

“I think that moment for me underscored just how poor Chris Wallace did as a debate moderator,” added White House trade adviser Peter Navarro on MSNBC. “Chris Wallace functioned essentially as Joe Biden’s cut man and also as a second debater on the president.”

[...]

“Hard to believe how biased & corrupt Chris Wallace was last night. Subtle but perfect partner for Biden. Every time @realDonaldTrump had Biden on ropes & about to self-destruct, Wallace either rudely interrupted Trump, or demanded topic be changed. Disgraceful. Moderator fixed it,” tweeted conservative radio host Wayne Allyn Root.

“Chris Wallace interrupted Donald Trump 76 times last night. He only interrupted Joe Biden 15 times. Trump shouldn’t have to debate two opponents at once, but he did—and he STILL won,” added Charlie Kirk, a prominent Trump supporter and founder of Turning Point USA.

[...]

Still, several figures came to Wallace’s defense, noting there was little any moderator could do to control a debate in which the agreed-upon rules were so openly flouted.

“First, let me defend Chris Wallace. I mean, my God. The guy signed up to moderate a debate and he ended up trying to referee a knife fight,” said Fox News’s Geraldo Rivera.

Hysterical. Even Fox & Friends has absorbed the fact that he needs charts and pictures.

But Trump is feeling the heat this afternoon:
In the debate he asked for a specific group when Wallace mentioned white supremacists. Joe suggested the Proud Boys. "Proud Boys," Trump repeated, and then said they need to stand back and stand by. He knows exactly who they are.

It's like he said about QAnon: "They like me very much. Which I appreciate."

...but hey, do what you want...you will anyway.
